Read my previous post about Mig33 if you have no idea what it is.

Well, according to my personal experience, there are a lot of community there. They usually have their member to add the name of the community behind their ID. For example, if the community is XPLOR, then their ID probably will be like: john_xplor or something like that.

I don’t really understand why they created a community on the first place, but it seems like community is a vehicle or shortcut to popularity or dominance.

It is very common in mig33, that every community war against each other. they want to show off they power or test their ability in kicking, flooding, or maybe abusing.

What is kicking? Well, in mig33 you can kick user out of the chat room. And to kick a user require votes depends on how many people inside a room. To make kicking more simple, faster, and succeed, there are many PC software to do the kicking stuff.

I have once joined a community named HARD. After I dedicated my efforts there, and got no respect I quit. HARD members has the potentials. They can kick and hack, but they show no interest in making HARD more popular. I already contributed a logo, a HARD mig33 version, an a website. I could take those stuff away if I want, but if I did, they will be ruined. Because they’re all too lazy.

I currently looking for a good community.

I just downloaded this game to my NDS Lite, interested by the good score of GameSpot’s review.

Here’s what they said about Nanostray 2 :

Hundreds of enemies. Thousands of projectiles. Millions of points at stake. Billions of ways to die. Nanostray 2, in classic shoot-’em-up tradition, pits these mind-bending numbers against the power of one in a relentless challenge that demands precision, rewards determination, and castigates error. Yet despite the daunting challenges it poses, Nanostray 2 does not require seasoned twitch reflexes for admission. This accessibility, along with its competent execution and attractive visuals, makes Nanostray 2 a draw for genre veterans and neophytes alike.

The logical starting place in Nanostray 2 is the single-player Adventure mode. In this mode, legions of foes will try to stop you from researching the Nanostray virus, which takes malicious control of modern technology and makes it want to blast you. Each of the eight planets you’ll visit features unique backgrounds, enemies, hazards, and bosses, all of which are colorfully and vibrantly rendered. Levels are bisected by a miniboss and culminate with a big boss, with no save points or respite along the way. Levels can last anywhere from five to 45 minutes depending on the player skill and become much more perilous on harder difficulties. The screen will usually scroll vertically or horizontally depending on the level, though the scroll direction does change a fair bit midlevel. This refreshing variation, along with the detailed and appealing graphics, is a nice tonic against the eye strain that shoot-’em-ups inevitably tend to cause.

more review at: http://www.gamespot.com/ds/action/nanostray2/review.html?om_act=convert&om_clk=gssummary&tag=summary;review

Well, based upon my personal experience this game is quite fun. Especially if you play it with stylus, rater than the D-Pad.

Maybe only one weakness I found, no save in the middle of the game! We have to start it over when the ship destroyed!

Here’s an article from Newsweek:

Muslim female suicide bombers are on the rise. Even before women attackers claimed dozens of lives in Monday’s coordinated attacks on Shiite pilgrims in Baghdad and political protesters in Kirkuk, women had carried out more than 20 missions in Iraq this year—the most violent one yet for the women of Al Qaeda. But for those of us who have studied the phenomenon, the assaults should not come as a surprise.

For almost 10 years, we have warned that women would start playing a more aggressive role in groups like Al Qaeda. As more men are captured or killed by security forces worldwide, it was inevitable that terror groups would consider other options to keep their cause alive. Abu Mussab al-Zarqawi, the Al Qaeda in Iraq leader notorious for his videotaped beheading of a foreign captive, may have been one of the first to recruit women, but his death in 2006 hardly brought the drive to an end. From 2003 to 2006, the rate of female suicide bombers in Iraq was relatively low—five attacks in three years. But in 2007, the increase was exponential. And by the end of this year, there will likely be 50 or more attacks conducted by women mujahidaat in Iraq.

Female fighters are hardly new; Muslim women have proved adept and astute warriors since the birth of Islam in seventh-century Arabia. That, however, fails to answer the question about why modern women—the givers of life—are willing to commit suicide for their cause. Many non-Muslims believe that men choose this course for religious reasons, in the hope that 72 virginal houris will greet them as martyrs in paradise. Women, however, do not choose suicide for reasons of faith or feminism. Too few Western scholars acknowledge that women conduct acts of violence to protect their men, country and future generations.

While much is unknown about suicidal mujahidaat, there is no doubt that many choose this course to avenge the loss of male family members—especially their sons. A simpler argument revolves around the word “protest.” Women in Iraq today are either using violence to protest the loss of their society or the loss of their country to an occupation they don’t believe in. Recall that the first two female bombers in March 2003, who detonated themselves days after U.S. forces entered Baghdad, declared on television that their primary motive was to protect Iraq from a foreign invader.

As more women choose suicide terrorism, the biggest challenge for U.S. Army officers is to find them before they blow themselves up. A U.S. Marine officer returning from Fallujah told me, “If we are told by our superiors not to look at a woman because Arab culture tells us not to, then how are we supposed to suspect them?” Because she is an invisible nonstate actor, the task of countering the threat is far more challenging than marginalizing Al Qaeda’s men in Iraq. U.S. authorities recognize that the anonymity of the female bomber protects her personal identity, cloaks her affiliation with a terrorist group and makes it difficult for authorities to profile her. A senior Army official involved with intelligence operations in Diyala wrote to me in an e-mail, “We have never viewed females with the same lethality as we would a male. And because of that cultural sensitivity on our part, it has made the female a very valuable tool of the insurgent.” No doubt, cultural mores and traditional, patriarchal norms that shield women from men play into the hands of insurgents. Seen as the honor of men in Arab society, women are able to assume an invisibility that makes it virtually impossible to know who the female suicide attacker is or will be.

If, as the U.S. military notes, women in the head-to-toe abaya are untouchable, then how can U.S. and Iraqi authorities predict and prevent future attacks? Recent efforts to employ Iraqi women to search other women at checkpoints—as was done in Baghdad this week—may be an innovative tactic, but women willing to work for the U.S. government put their own lives and that of their families at great peril. Anyone on the U.S. payroll risks alienation from Iraqi society, and worse, death by Al Qaeda. Furthermore, hiring Iraqi women for search operations is a temporary solution to a larger question—the issue of occupation.

Those I have spoken to in Iraq express skepticism about the ability of the U.S. forces to address the new challenge of female bombers. Assuming American forces are inclined to take on this threat to the safety of the occupation forces and Iraqis alike, I offer the following suggestions. The Iraqi government, with U.S. support and resources, should offer a community-based approach that aims to improve the socioeconomic opportunities for women by providing them with basic necessities such as education for their children, protection for their personal safety and equal rights. This is no guarantee that female terrorism in Iraq will end, but if women get the right kind of help they are less likely to be open to recruitment. If conditions of Iraqi women fail to improve in the coming months, however, the bomber behind the veil will be nearly impossible to defeat.

Farhana Ali has studied women in Al Qaeda for nearly a decade. She is associate international policy analyst at the RAND Corporation, a nonprofit institution that helps improve policy and decision-making through research and analysis.

I think US should take their military forces from Iraq, so there will be no more victims.

Quite irony, I’m a woman and my life is far better than those who live under pressure at Iraq.

No more, suicide bombing please. Only you who can stop this madness, Americans!

Actually, I want the white one. But I can’t find good images of that version.

I’m going to put this at my wishlist! I really need a netbook, regular notebook is too large and heavy (my notebook is 12″ wide and less than 3kg), besides it doesn’t suit my mobile activity. While netbook, not only small, but also has the feature I love the most : INTERNET!

More info from http://www.acer.co.id/news/2008/06/04/acer-presents-the-aspire-one :

Your New Mobile Internet Device

TAIPEI, Taiwan & SAN JOSE, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Acer, the third largest vendor in the global PC market (source: Gartner data, 4Q 2007), today presented the Aspire one, an all-new communication device designed to make online activities fast, simple and cool.

The Aspire one is a brand new product which, despite its size, is not just another notebook: it’s a stylish all-new digital device designed to deliver continuous access to the internet no matter where you are.

The Aspire one is something that can go everywhere and opens the door to new and unexplored areas of the online world. For this reason it was important to reduce weight and dimensions.

The result is a masterpiece of technological simplicity with an intuitive and specifically optimized software interface to support connectivity needs. At just 9.8-inches x 6.7-inches x 1.14-inches and weighing a little more than two pounds, the Aspire one is not only extremely compact (smaller than an average office diary) but offers numerous connectivity possibilities, a full and easy-to-use software application suite and battery life of up to six hours1.

Get connected

Small and smart, the Aspire one can go anywhere and keeps users connected everywhere. The Aspire one comes standard with 802.11b/g WiFi built-in for easy access to available wireless networks and in the future may be specified with 3G2 wireless technology for even greater online freedom. In addition, Acer Signal Up technology ensures maximum quality and stability to the wireless signal.

Let’s get organized

The Aspire one is great for getting things done: whether checking email, managing online accounts or chatting with friends, the Aspire one offers a simple, intuitive Linux3 interface that clearly organizes everything needed to surf the Internet, work or simply have fun. The pre-installed software is separated by functions and presented in four distinct areas on the screen – Connect, Works, Fun and Files – making it so simple it’s difficult to get confused.

Ergonomics and reduced dimensions do not mean the view isn’t spectacular: the Aspire one has an 8.9-inch CrystalBrite LED backlit display with a resolution of 1024×600 pixels. Integrated in the top of the screen is the unique Acer CrystalEye webcam for live video streaming, video chats and conferences.

Choose your Style

The Aspire one uses color to combine connectivity with inimitable style. Initially available in blue and white, the range of colors available for the Aspire one will be expanded later this year with two new soft, warm tones: brown and pink.

The four colors – sapphire blue, seashell white, golden brown and coral pink – give the Aspire one an individual and quite distinctive look and feel that matches the style and personality of its owner.

Bits & bytes for data freedom

The Aspire one is equipped with Intel® Atom™ processor, Linpus™ Linux® Lite or Windows XP® Home, and comes with 512MB or 1GB of RAM memory installed.

There are two alternatives for data storage: a NAND flash module of 8GB or an 80GB4 internal HDD. In addition the Aspire one reads five different types of memory card – Secure Digital, MultiMediaCard, Memory Stick, Memory Stick PRO, xD-Picture Card – for absolute data freedom.

To increase storage capacity, the Aspire one features the unique Smart File Manager, a simple solution that instantly and seamlessly merges extra storage from any SD card inserted in the second SD card slot into the memory available to the user.

Simple, Sophisticated Software

Acer has improved the user experience by designing a friendly, easy-to-use and comprehensive interface utilizing a more natural approach to screen layout and functionality, which simplifies interaction between users and the Aspire one. The Linpus™ Linux® Lite version is the result, guiding and accompanying even novice users through the Internet in an intuitive, “virus-safe” and super-responsive Linux environment.

The Aspire one features the one Mail software suite that lets users manage up to six email accounts with a single application interface, including office accounts. A small icon to the right of the message quickly and clearly shows the appropriate mail account. Nothing could be simpler to replace push e-mail services without using a corporate server.

The Aspire one uses Messenger for Instant Messaging, an application that allows users to simultaneously access Skype, Microsoft Messenger and various other instant messaging services. The software can be used with the integrated video camera for instant video-chats and video conferences.

The Aspire one series comes preinstalled with Linpus™ Linux® Lite version or Windows XP® Home. Additional software such as OpenOffice 2.3, one Mail, Messenger, Acer eRecovery Management, Acer Launch Manager, Adobe® Reader®, McAfee® Internet Security Suite, Microsoft® Office Trial 2007 are also installed5.

Pricing and Availability

The new Aspire one will be available in early Q3 through Acer authorized resellers and selected retailers throughout North America, with pricing beginning at US$379.

The Aspire one comes with a standard one-year parts and labor warranty, which includes concurrent International Traveler’s Coverage that can be extended to three years with the Acer Advantage service that also covers accidental damage to the notebook. Additionally, all Acer notebooks are backed by toll-free service and support.

About Acer America

Since its founding in 1976, Acer has constantly pursued the goal of breaking the barriers between people and technology. Focused on marketing its brand-name IT products around the globe, Acer ranks as the world’s No. 3 vendor for total PCs and No. 2 for notebooks, with the fastest growth among the top-five players. A profitable and sustainable Channel Business Model is instrumental to Acer’s continued growth, while the successful mergers of Gateway and Packard Bell complete the company’s global footprint by strengthening its presence in the U.S., and enhancing its strong position in Europe. Acer Inc. employs 5,000 people worldwide. Estimated revenue for 2007 is US $14.07 billion. For more information, please visit www.acer.com/us.

1 Up to 3 hours battery life with standard 3-cell battery; up to 6 hours battery life with optional 6-cell battery

2 Coverage depending on network availability. Upon launch the Aspire one will be WiFi enabled only. Embedded WiMax and 3G will be available later this year.

3 only for the Linpus version

4 (2.5-inch)

5 System memory and/or bundled software depending on version or installed OS

This is the game I play mostly in my black NDS Lite.

Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney focuses surprisingly enough on…Apollo Justice, an attorney with more than a passing resemblance to the series’ previous star, Phoenix Wright. Apollo is young, has spiked hair, lacks confidence in court, and even has a young, quirky girl for a sidekick. In addition to Apollo, there are many new characters, some who are interesting, but few of whom are as endearing as the characters from the Phoenix Wright games. The good news for anyone suffering from nostalgia is that quite a few familiar faces make appearances throughout the game. The judge, Winston Payne, and a few other more notable people make their presence felt here. Returning characters are a blessing and a curse. On one hand, they’re a nice way of tying the two story arcs together, but on the other hand, they serve to show how the new cast isn’t quite as endearing as the old one.

There are four turnabouts (cases), all of which find you defending a client accused of murder. The first three cases are solid but aren’t anything special. It’s the last case that steals the show. It’s interesting, it has a number of genuinely intriguing twists and turns, and it weaves a number of past cases together into one really compelling finale. The writing is as witty as ever (if not a bit more long-winded), and you’ll notice various pop-culture references to U2, Harry Potter, Bon Jovi, and more. For the most part it’s business as usual with regard to gameplay. You’ll spend your time out of court investigating crime scenes, collecting evidence, and interviewing witnesses. The in-court proceedings are almost completely unchanged. You’ll cross-examine witnesses and present evidence and profiles to support your position in hopes of getting the judge to hand down a “not guilty” verdict.

According to my personal experience, Facebook is far better than Friendster even though Friendster is more popular in Indonesia.

Facebook has an eye catching and friendly design. More simple yet informative. Besides, at Facebook, they have tons of applications and games to add more fun.

Friendster has it too, but Facebook manage it better so it looks good when it installed in our profile. While Friendster, in the other hand, has a Myspace-like profile. Which means more add-ons, more cramped. Facebook profile looks better and more neat.

As a social networking site, I choose Facebook over Friendster. Friendster has a lot of Posers, fakers, imposters, et cetera. While mostly facebook users use their real names which means easier for us to find our friends.

Before I continue, let me ask a question first:

What is MIG33?

Well, according to its official website,

mig33 is the first global mobile community, integrating the most popular Internet applications together for anyone with a mobile phone. mig33 offers a mix of free and inexpensive services, including VoIP calls, chat & instant messaging, e-mail, text messaging, photo sharing, and social networking features.

Founded by Steven Goh and Mei Lin Ng in December 2005, mig33 has quickly spread around the world, growing to millions of users in more than 200 countries. Driven on the strength of user recommendations, mig33 is accessible on most mobile phones, even basic models, and will enable the first Internet experience for millions more who connect to the Internet for the first time from their mobile phones. It’s more than just surfing the Web – mig33 brings all the communications power of the PC right to the palm of the hand.

Well, if you see the description, nothing seems wrong about it. Mig33, I should say, is very innovative. They offer many inexpensive services for mobile phone users.

Then, where is the problem?

Being honest, the problem is that you can’t get rid of it! Yes, Mig33 is addictive. You should try it yourself. We can connect with millions (yes, mig33 users reached millions and still counting) of people around the globe. What more, for developing countries like Indonesia (which is where I live), GPRS is cheaper than regular short messaging service.

People in my country prefer to use IM than SMS, including myself. Besides the fare, the speed is also count. With IM, we get reply faster. Depends when the person we talked to is online.

Well, lets get back to track.

Mig33 is my current addiction and annoyance. I made a lot of new friends and experienced what they called “cyber dating”. It is quite fun, really. Cyber friends are the best keep-secrets because usually (from what I’ve learned) they live far from our place and in cyber world, people usually use fake identity. Nothing strange if we feel comfortable and more open when we are talking to our cyber friends.

God knows everything has its weakness. So does this case of mine.

These are the results of my unhealthy addiction:

Less aware of the environment

Problem with the social life

Being a procrastinator

My eye vision is reduced. MINUS!!!

So, this far.. do you interested in experiencing the world of mig33? If your answer is YES, then you can get it straight from your mobile phone by visiting http://wap.mig33.com

Happy Mig33-ing!
